If you work with young people who have experienced childhood trauma and are struggling to reach their full potential due to the impact, this training is for you. An exciting blend of neuroscience, practical knowledge, and hands-on experience.
First cab off the rank for the second half of the year is our Introduction to Trauma Recovery module that forms the basis of our more advanced training in Trauma Recovery Tools. Consider registering for both!
Our Trainers each have over 20 years of experience working with marginalised and vulnerable young people and bring a new and creative approach to delivering training for the youth sector.
At Amber Mountain we provide consultancy in the following three areas: Therapeutic Life Story Work, Training and External Supervision.
Therapeutic Life Story Work is a 12 month intervention that is child-centred and works with children who have fractured stories/lives to develop their own integrated narrative. Working on wallpaper, the child or young person drives the process that incorporates play and art therapy principles. There is a growing evidence base both here and internationally for this intervention in facilitating trauma recovery.
We also provide extensive training options to the sector. See our Training Calendar for what’s on offer over the next 6 months, or contact us directly to enable us to tailor something specific to your organisation’s needs.
External Supervision is something that we recommend highly. Having both had wonderful external supervisors over the years who have helped us gain insight into our own practice and maintain a ‘bigger picture’ view of our careers, we are now offering that service to others. We also offer walking or hiking supervision which allows for practicing self-care at that same time! Get in touch to find out more.
